Prof. Dr. Aslı Akkor

Professor Aslı Akkor is the head of the Division of Immunology and Allergic Diseases within the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul University, Türkiye. She received her medical degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Türkiye, and subsequently specialized in internal medicine, allergic diseases, and immunology.

Professor Akkor has published over 140 articles in peer-reviewed SCI journals and has served as a co-editor for the Journal of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Journal of the Turkish National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (TNSACI). She is currently a member of the editorial board of Allergy.

Her scientific interests include asthma, drug allergy, urticaria and angioedema, food allergy, and allergen immunotherapy. She has served three terms on the boards of TNSACI and two terms on the board of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). Since the launch of the EAACI Knowledge Hub, she has held the position of Deputy Editor and currently also serves as the chair of the EAACI National Societies Committee.
