Prof. Dr. Zeynep Ferhan Özşeker

PROF. DR. ZEYNEP FERHAN ÖZŞEKER
Specialist in Pulmonology, Immunology, and Allergy Diseases

Born in Istanbul in 1969. She graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1992. In 1997, she completed her specialization training in Pulmonology and Tuberculosis at SSK Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital. In 2002, she was appointed as chief assistant at Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases Training and Research Hospital. In 2007, she completed subspecialty training in Allergic Diseases at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Immunology and Allergy Diseases. In 2008, she became an associate professor and in 2016, she became a professor. In 2010, she established the Immunology and Allergy Training Clinic at the Ministry of Health Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital. In 2015, she was appointed as a faculty member at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, and in 2016, she served as Deputy Chief Physician and Head of the Division of Immunology and Allergy at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine.

She is a member of the Turkish Respiratory Society, the Turkish Thoracic Society, the National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. She served as a Central Board Member and Treasurer of the Turkish Respiratory Society for 6 years as Chair of the Asthma and Allergy Working Group of the Turkish Respiratory Society for 4 terms as Chair of the Food Allergy Working Group of the National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology for 2 terms and has been Chair of the Anaphylaxis Working Group for 2 terms. She is one of the founders of the Turkish Anaphylaxis Database. In 2023, she chaired the National Allergy and Clinical Immunology Society Congress with International Participation.

She has more than 100 publications in international and national journals and books, more than 150 presentations at national and international congresses and 10 national and international scientific awards. She has taken part in 9 international R&D projects. Her studies have received more than 1000 citations in national and international fields. She has given numerous lectures at national and international meetings.

In 2024, she retired from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine and continues her professional career at Private Memorial Hospitals and in her own private office.
