Professor of Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at Koç University, EAACI Board Member, and Researcher in Food Allergy, Atopic Dermatitis, and Asthma
Prof. Betül Büyüktiryaki is a faculty member and clinical researcher at Koç University School of Medicine, Division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. She graduated from Hacettepe University School of Medicine, completed her residency at Behçet Uz Children’s Education and Training Hospital, and pursued a fellowship in pediatric allergy and immunology at Hacettepe University School of Medicine.
She serves as a Board Member of the Tailored Education Committee of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), Chair of the Food Allergy Interest Group of the Turkish National Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and Board Member of the Skin Allergies Interest Group of the Society of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology, and Asthma. In 2015, she received a “Certificate of Excellence,” and in 2018, she was certified as a “European Pediatric Allergist” by the EAACI.
She currently serves on the Editorial Board of the NEJM Evidence journal. Her main research interests include food allergy, atopic dermatitis, allergen immunotherapy, and asthma.
