Associate Professor of Allergy and Clinical Immunology at Ain Shams University
Dr. Osama Mohamed Abdel Latif is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, Allergy, and Clinical Immunology at Ain Shams University, Cairo. He obtained his M.B.B.Ch. in 2002, followed by a Master’s in 2007 and an M.D. in 2011, all from Ain Shams University. With a career spanning over two decades, he has progressed from House Officer to Associate Professor, building extensive clinical and academic expertise. Dr. Abdel Latif is particularly recognized for his deep knowledge of allergens and their role in allergic diseases. His research covers a wide range of topics, including sublingual immunotherapy for cow milk allergy, pollen sensitization patterns in Egyptian patients, and racial differences in food allergy phenotypes. He has also explored the relationship between allergy and ADHD in children, the immunologic impact of BMI in asthma, and advanced diagnostics such as the Cellular Antigen Stimulation Test for drug allergy. His work
continues to shape allergy practice and education in Egypt and beyond.
